What is the difference between Business/Personal, Certified, and Notarized translations?

Business/Personal translations do not have to be certified or notarized. The translated file will me emailed to you in editable Word Format. Pricing varies for this type of translation and it fully depends on the word-count and complexity of the text.

Certified Translation is required by some authorities and therefore it is for official use. It consists of the translation itself accompanied by a signed statement by the translator or translation company affirming that the translated text is an accurate and complete rendering of the original document. Certified translations will be made on our corporate letterhead and they will come with a "Certificate of Accuracy" in PDF format.

Notarized translation is a Certified translation performed and signed by a professional translator, as well as certified by a notary commissioned by a US State. It must bear a signature of the translator, the stamp and a signature of the notary. Your notarized translation needs to be collected in person or mailed.

Nearly any document that may be used for an official purpose can benefit from a notarized copy. You may need notarized translation service if you, your spouse or your child:

  • were born outside the US
  • are getting married in a different country
  • are applying to a university in the US
  • are applying for a loan or mortgage in the US
  • need a US drivers license
  • are adopting a child from another country

Your notarized translation needs to be collected in person or mailed.

Who are your translators?

All our translators are fluent in all the languages they translate. We only appoint translators with minimum BA in Foreign Languages/Linguistics, or Certified by the U.S. Associations of Translators, or native speakers with a proven and documented track-record of successful written translations.
